Cold storage is an additional data storage where information about outdated (deleted, modified, archived) information will be stored statistics
Hot storage is the main data storage where current statistics are stored.
The cooled storage is a temporary storage where data is transferred from the hot storage, then to the cold storage.
Data cooling is the process of transferring data from hot to cold storage. When the material/program/trajectory changes, the existing statistics on it become outdated and the cooling (archiving) process begins.
Statistics cooling is possible for:
- Test type of material.
- Training programs.
- Learning trajectories.
Statistical data is stored in cold storage for 1 year by default. After 1 year and 1 day, statistics will overwrite outdated data. If you need to keep the data archived for more than 1 year, then coordinate a longer period with your manager.
When exporting cold statistics, a field is displayed: "Statistics as of" with the dates when the statistics were stored.
Conditions under which statistics are cooled:
Learning Trajectories:
Deleting/adding a new learning program to the trajectory.
Hiding/activating a program included in the trajectory.
Deleting a trajectory (uploading such statistics will be implemented in future updates).
Reset trajectory statistics.
Training programs:
Changing the set of materials in the program.
Changing the mandatory flags on materials.
Reset statistics.
Deleting the program. If the program is in the trajectory, statistics are cooled for the trajectory as well (such statistics will be uploaded in future updates).
Materials (Test):
Deleting content (uploading such statistics will be implemented in future updates).
Changing the threshold of passage.
Changing the number of questions.
Changing the number of questions in a random sample.
Changing the number of points per question.
Changing the question type.
Changing the number of possible answers.
Reset statistics.
The cold storage mechanism is necessary to save statistics during cyclical training and when changing trajectory/program/test settings.
Cycling is the process of automatically reassigning a program after a time interval set by the administrator, accompanied by resetting statistics.
Cyclic reassignment is useful for training, which must go through periods in order not to forget the rules and follow the instructions clearly.
For example, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation, periodically undergo training in occupational safety, fire safety, industrial safety, confirmation of qualifications, etc.
There are two types of reassignment:
1. From the moment of publication.
2. After completing the program.
In the reassignment settings, upon completion and from the moment of publication, it is possible to select:
- After what period of time the training program is reassigned (number + type (days/weeks/months/years).
- How many times to repeat the reassignment.
After configuring the reassignment for the program, the reassignment date appears for users who have gained access to it again. If the reassignment date was set after the users gained access to the program, then such users do not receive the reassignment date.
To set a reassignment date for the existing training program and all users who have access to it.:
Set the Reassignment Date in the Assignment Settings tab > Take access from users, save the settings and grant it again (you can turn off notifications) > Go to the Users tab - make sure that the reassignment date is displayed for users.
! At the moment, there is no information for the user about reassigning the program. A notification arrives (provided they are enabled) about the appointment of a new program. The user will see the status of the program "Available" in his personal account.
Below we will consider the cases of interaction of options. Individual terms of appointment of the training program and Storing archived statistics or cold storage
Limitations when enabling cycling and cold storage
Cycling is enabled and cold storage is disabled - archived statistics will not be saved.
The statistics are completely deleted. All statistics reset by cycling will no longer be available to either the administrator or the user.Cold storage is enabled - archived statistics are stored for only 1 year by default. To change the storage period, please contact your manager or contact Support.
Cold storage is enabled. Archived statistics from cold storage can only be uploaded by administrators with the "main" role and only after 1 day or more after cooling.
Cycling is enabled. Materials can consist of several programs at the same time. If you reassign one program, statistics on its materials will also be reset. If these materials participated in other programs, the statistics will be recalculated in them.
The cold storage stores information only on trajectories, programs, and tests (in the Materials section).
Statistics on other types of content are not saved in it and are deleted when statistics on them are reset, reassigned, or deleted.Previously, during edits in tests (in the Materials section) the statistics did not change. With cold storage enabled, statistics will be reset after making edits to the test. Users will need to go through it again to get the results. And administrators with the "main" role will be able to download archived statistics (before changes) from cold storage.
When the cold storage is turned off, you can download the results of all user attempts from the hot storage in the test statistics (Materials section). When cold storage is enabled, statistics will be stored in cold storage until the last reset..
No. 1 Cold storage and cycling are disabled

Usage example: You do not need to go through programs/trajectories with any frequency. You only need current statistics (without historical ones) on the current settings of programs/trajectories/tests.
Everything is working as before.
There are no automatic statistics resets or reassignments.
Only the administrator can reset the statistics manually. After resetting the statistics, the data is permanently deleted.
No. 2 Cycling - enabled, XX - disabled

Usage example: You have programs/trajectories that users need to complete once in a given period. You do not need historical data on the results of the passage.
The administrator has set the automatic reassignment of the training program for re-entry.
Upon the date of reassignment for the user, the previous statistics on the passage are reset beyond the possibility of recovery.
The number of remaining reassignments can be viewed in the administrative panel in exporting the list of users of the program/learning path in the Users tab.
No. 3 Cycling - disabled, XX - enabled

Usage example: You do not need to go through programs/trajectories with any frequency. However, you need historical data for changes in trajectory/program/test settings.
When changes are made to each trajectory/program, the statistics are overwritten, and when changes are made to the test, they are reset to zero. Despite the fact that all of them will not be cyclical, because this setting is disabled.
If the administrator makes adjustments to the test, please note:
1. The available statistics are moved to the cooled storage, then (after a few days, by default - after a day) to the cold storage. Statistics are not available in the administrative panel during the cooling process. You can download archived statistics from cold storage after the cooling time has expired (a day or more) in the Statistics section.
2. The test results are automatically reset to zero - users need to take the updated test again.
3. Since the status of the users' tests is reset, the statuses of the programs and learning paths will be recalculated accordingly.
For example, a user has a program with the status "Passed", it contains a test. The administrator makes adjustments to the test. The test results for users are archived and statistics are reset to zero. The test status changes to "Available" and the training program changes to "In progress" status
Special attention is paid to those clients who export statistics through the API - updated statuses of tests, programs, and learning paths will be transmitted using existing statistical export methods.
Using the example above, yesterday you received information using the API that the training program was "Completed", today you receive the status "In progress", because yesterday the administrator made adjustments to the test and the statistics were updated.
Currently, using the integration API, only the information that is displayed in the statistics tables of the administrative panel can be transmitted.
It is planned to develop integration API methods for obtaining chilled statistics on trajectories, training programs, training program materials, and test attempts.
Archived (cooled) statistics are currently not being transmitted using the integration API methods, and there are no plans to implement the corresponding integration API methods.
No. 4 Cyclicity - enabled, XX - enabled

Usage example:
You have programs/trajectories that users need to complete once in a given period. You need historical data on the results of passing, as well as changes in the settings of trajectories / programs / tests.
Statistics on trajectories and training programs are overwritten, and for the test, when changes are made, they are reset. You can download archived statistics in a day or more, depending on the settings, in the Statistics section.
If the administrator makes adjustments to the test, the behavior is similar to case number 3.
The logic of the integration API is similar to case number 3.
When the reassignment deadline arrives:
1. The available statistics are moved to the cooled storage, then (after a few days, by default - after a day) to the cold storage. Statistics are not available in the administrative panel during the cooling process. You can download archived statistics from cold storage after the cooling time has expired (a day or more) in the Statistics section.
2. The results of statistics on the learning trajectory, training programs and materials in them are reset to zero for users to re-pass - the status changes to "Available"
3. The user receives a notification (provided they are enabled) about the appointment of a new program.
