With the release of 9.8, the company's settings will be automatically transferred to Legacy mode, within which most of the hierarchy functionality on the platform will remain the same.
This will help everyone prepare for a smooth transition to flexible groups.
The following changes apply in Legacy mode:
the current destination groups are converted to trees with similar settings;
all root groups are equivalent and are located in the administrative panel in alphabetical order;
in the export and import of data, there is now more than one value, a group of several;
the functionality of providing access to materials has been improved.
In flexible groups, more settings will be available, with which you can create a complex hierarchy with a large number of nesting levels.
Features:
the root group can have up to 100 nesting levels. For example, "Department-Region-Department-Division" (now Self-registration with the choice of groups will be easier!);
the number of root groups can be increased to 20 or reduced to 1;
the user can relate to intermediate groups, and not just to the final group in the branch;
moving the created groups inside the root branch.
Switching back from flexible groups to Legacy mode is not possible.
The transfer of the company to flexible user groups is carried out by the technical support of in agreement with the support manager.
